I'm dreaming of spring...

Welcome to Unity's Friends With Flair Friday. Make sure you go to Unity's blog for a list of participants and find the flair for a chance to win some Unity goodies! Have you seen the newly released sets? Wow!

It's been very cold here in Croatia, so I felt like making some springy, bright cards. This first one uses the lamp and sentiment from Shine On. The little penguin is by Hero Arts. I'm entering this to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge to use a touch of green. What's spring without green, right? :-)

Penguin Lamp

Papers: GinaK Sweet Corn, Passionate Pink, Ivory, K&Co patterned papers
Ribbon: Certainly Celery grossgrain
Ink: Memento Black, Passionate Pink
Others: buttons, rhinestones

For my next card, I just love these Farm Fresh papers from October Afternoon paired with a Kraft card base. I used the cute trees, which are colored with Copics, from the Friendship, Love, Miracles KOTM. The sentiment is from Bevy of Butterflies. The ribbon and button are by PTI.

Lovely Trees

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Gina K Designs' Sung From the Heart Blog Hop

I'm excited to show you a card using Rupa's tug-in-your-strings adorable set, Sung From the Heart. Every image here is just fun to color and very retro-fab. I'm going clean and shabby on this one :-).

The card base is Innocent Pink, the back panel is Soft Sand the the lacy strip is Chocolate Kiss. I sponged the edges with Tuscan Tan ink. The DP is my I Love Hearts digipaper pack cut with a Spellbinder Labels 9. The toaster was colored with Copics.

Don't forget to check out what these fabulous ladies have made and leave them some love :-)

Now, it's your turn! Please hop over to Gina's blog to add the direct link to your blog post showcasing Rupa's Sung From the Heart stamp set in the Mister Linkey Box. Stamp It! Card

I'm so excited to share a card with you today that has just been recently published in Stamp It! Cards Magazine 2010. I'm not exactly sure what page it's on, since I don't have my copy of the magazine yet. But, I've been told it's there :-). This card is truly special because it's my very first published card using one of my stamp designs. The birdcage, bird and sentiment are from Elegant Post.

I also have a Christmas card in this issue and they featured my Elegant Verses stamp set, along with stamps from other companies. What an honor! Have a good Wednesday!

A chance to give...

Today as the Gina K Designs team feature my latest stamp designs, Heartily Yours and Heartily Yours Additions, I am glad to give you an opportunity to help with me the Haitian people who continue to suffer the aftermaths of a natural disaster.

My heart goes out to them and wish I could be there to help with the disaster relief. Since that is not possible, I decided to help in other ways: to pray for them and give towards their physical needs. And I want to share that opportunity with you as well.

I designed some vintage Valentine bingo cards that are so very trendy right now. The colors coordinate with GinaK's Green Apple, Smoky Slate, Passionate Pink and Lipstick Red. The download is FREE, but if you would like to donate, it would be wonderful! All proceeds will go towards a charity, The Children's Hunger Fund, that I truly support. I have a few very good friends who work with CHF and 99% of donations given to them goes straight to the people in need.

I would like to ask, though, that you do not share, redistribute, or sell the actual file without prior permission. Please direct your friends here to get their own copy. Feel free to sell items you create using my art and even submit for publication and/or challenges. I just ask that you give the appropriate credit and link back to my blog when you do. Thank you. To download, just click on the image below.

And if you would like to donate, please click on the "Donate" button below and it'll take you to Paypal. You do not need to have a Paypal account to donate. You just need a valid credit card account.

Here are some cards I made using these Valentine bingo cards. I used GinaK's Soft Sand, Ivory and Passionate Pink CS and October Afternoon Farm Fresh patterned papers. I made the frame using Spellbinders Labels 9. I will also enter these to Moxie Fab's Start to Finish challenge.

One last thing, if you could remember to pray for our family. We've all caught a stomach bug and have been taking turns getting sick. It's no fun, esp when the parents are sick too. Thank you.

More awesome cards from my Guest DT

I was gone for a few days and didn't have time to link up to Alice's beautiful cards she made last week using Heartily Yours and Heartily Yours Additions. Aren't these beautiful? I love the color combo she used.

And look what I got in the mail? This beautifully colored card (the image was wonderfully illustrated by my talented friend, Jane) was sent to me by Alice. I have seen this on her blog and I admired it then. But it's so much prettier to see in person. I love it! I'll have another card to put on my shelf for inspiration. Thanks, Alice!

The blog hop for Heartily Yours begins Monday night, 10pm, CST. I hope you will join us. I have a special treat for you and you will be able to give towards the earthquake victims of Haiti.

Card #1:
The car and sentiment are from Heartily Yours. For the inside of the card, I used the stamp stamps from Tami's Special Delivery set and "Sweetheart" is from my Special Fathers set.

GinaK Designs' Happy Hearts Blog Hop

I have been really enjoying Tami Mayberry's Happy Hearts set. It's such a great group of stamps that can be used for different style cards, from CAS (clean and simple) to shabby chic and anything in between. I'm also entering these cards to the Moxie Fab's Start To Finish Challenge.

For my first card, I used my favorite DP paper pack, October Afternoon Farm Fresh. The sentiment is from Happy Hearts. I used the EK Success medium heart punch and the Marvy Uchida scallop heart punch. I love the look of Lipstick Red with Kraft, don't you? Especially when you use them with buttons, lace and twill.

This is the inside of the card using the punched heart from the front. I handwrote "yours" using a white pen.

I used the same basic layout for this one with the same DP paper pack again, October Afternoon Farm Fresh.

Here is the inside of the card:

Gina K Designs' Purrr-fectly Delightful Blog Hop

Welcome to GinaK Designs Blog hop featuring Theresa's new set, Purrr-fectly Delightful, which will delight all those paper crafting cat lovers out there. Theresa drew some of the most realistic kitties I've ever seen on a stamp.

My first card is something I shared during the release party, but not on my blog until today. This vase of flowers is so fun to color to match the papers you want to use. In this case, I used GinaK's Ocean Mist and SU's Apricot Appeal. I also used the Cuttlebug Victorian embossing folder for the background.

Here is the inside of the card using a sentiment also from Purrr-fectly Delightful and the flowers from the new StampTV kit.

For my next card, I used the same vase of flowers, but changed the colors. Both it and the kitty were colored with Copics. The sentiment is from the StampTV kit also. I cut a square and stopped right where the flower is and cut around it and proceeded with the square. I like how the top part just pops.

Cheery Flowers

Here's a card for the Moxie Fab Start to Finish challenge. I used my newest stamps, Heartily Yours and Heartily Yours Additions. I just love that quote. I thought of that one day when I was goofing off with my girls and really thought they were some kind of wonderful.

Papers: GKD Innocent Pink, Lipstick Red, Oct Afternoon Farm Fresh
Ink: Vivid Brick Red

And here's the inside:

Have a wonderful day! I'll be back tomorrow with Theresa's Purrr-fectly Delightful blog hop.

GinaK Designs Square Pegs Blog Hop

Welcome to GinaK Designs Square Pegs blog hop. Melanie designed this set to go with her Hip to Be Square set, but the images work well on their own, as you can see from my projects below.

I shared this first card briefly at the Release party, but had to leave soon after (it was 3AM my time already). I stamped the dotted flowers from Square Pegs across a heart chipboard. The "XOXO" background in the other heart is also from Square Pegs. The patterned paper is from I Love Hearts digipapers and it goes well here with GKD papers, Innocent Pink and Chocolate Kiss. The sentiment is from Heartily Yours Additions.

Here is a matching Flower party favor box using the flower image and "XOXO" stamp again from Square Pegs.

Finally, I wanted to make a card with a homey feel, since it is a get well soon card. I used my current favorite DP, October Afternoon Farm Fresh, which goes well with many GKD papers.

Alice's beautiful cards, RAKs and more RAKs

Have you been to Alice Wertz' blog lately? Oh my, I love everything she makes, but esp the ones below. As my guest DT, she made these beautiful cards using Heartily Yours and Heartily Yours Additions. Don't these cards just make you happy inside? Alice will be wowing us with more cards using these sets this whole month.

Now, look at what my other fabulous friends have sent me over the holidays? These wonderful RAKs (Random Act of Kindness) are all so lovely and I'm still in awe of my friends' generosity in sharing their beautiful artwork and some paper crafting goodies, too!

Thank you, my dear friends, for gifting me with your friendship, visits and comments. I treasure each one of you. You have truly blessed me beyond words!

This oh-so-elegant card is made by my super talented friend from Germany, Vanessa Menhorn. I love the stitching she did. I wish I can do stitching curves like that :-). And make sure you check out her blog as she is just amazing and I'm not the only one who has noticed. She's been featured everywhere in blogdom.

This next one is from my lovely friend from Canada, Michelle Bertuzzi, who is also behind the cool sketches at Card Patterns. She and I both came from the Philippines and it's always a treat for me to "meet" fellow Filipinos in the crafting world. I don't know if you knew this, but she also illustrates for Unity stamps. My favorite of her creations is this wood grain stamp.

These gorgeous card and cute La-La-Land Crafts stamps are from my CA friend, Lisa Hjulberg. I had mentioned to her how these stamps remind me of my girls, then she sent them to me. Isn't that nice? And that card - oh I love it. Lisa creatively combined several images from a few of my GinaK Designs stamp sets to create this masterpiece.

My fellow crafter in Croatia, Jane Beljo, sent me a digital RAK, Noah's Ark, which is her own illustration that you can buy through Squigglefly. Make sure you check out her other digi images there. They are all so adorable and fun to color! And I have to apologize to Jane for forgetting to post here the previous RAK she sent me that includes lots of baggies that I used below and some of her yummy FIMO buttons. You know how much I love buttons, so I've been hoarding them. :-)

These goodies are from my very generous friend, Lisa Walsh. She knows how much I love butterflies, so she sent me these thoughtful papercraft goodies that can make any butterfly-lover's heart flutter. :-). And look at this beautiful card. Isn't it adorable? By the way, this may be difficult to do, but if you have to get one thing from the new Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog, you have to get that new Butterfly embosslits. I just love it! I've made at least 5 cards with it so far. You can view the catalog HERE. And if you don't have a demo, I highly recommend Lisa. I've been a very happy customer since I found her over a year ago. And she has great specials all the time.

Come back tonight as the GinaK Designs crew do a blog hop for Melanie's Square Pegs set.

A Moxie Fab heart flower

This card combines two current Moxie Fab challenges: Start to Finish and Color Play. The color combo is something I've never done before, but I'm pleased how well they work together. I'm not familiar with Bazzill Paper colors, but I used what I thought were similar colors: GinaK's Vibrant Violet, Soft Sand and Lipstick Red, and Stampin' Up's Summer Sun.

I stamped the grid hearts from Happy Hearts and punched them out. The inks I used are: Vivid Purple, Brick Red, and Straw. I scored the middle, folded them, then glued together to get this fanned effect. The grid purple paper is by PTI and ribbon is by SU. the lace is a local find and the brad is by Recollections.

Here is the inside of the card. I stamped the same grid heart. The sentiment is from one of my latest stamp sets, Heartily Your Additions.

If you want a chance to win my Lovely Shelf stamp set, make sure you go to this post. I'm off now. Kris and I are going out for our anniversary date - Chinese food and a movie. Woohoo! I love my kids, but it's nice once in awhile to eat without having to cut anybody's food or make anybody stay seated. :-).
