Sweet Blessings and I'm published in a book!

I'm so swamped with design deadlines and paper crafted projects that my little blog has been last priority, I'm afraid.

Here's a vintage card using my Spellbinders Home Sweet Home dies (wings, small tag and flower), along with a label die for the main image. The little flower embellishment are die cuts from the same die set. I love how the wings emboss. I swiped my brown ink on the embossed part to make it stand out, though it's hard to see on the photo. The papers are Prima and the bling on the wings is from Want2Scrap. The sentiment is from a retired set by Layers of Color. I downloaded that image a while ago and can't seem to remember where I got it.

I know the title may sound deceiving :), I didn't actually write a book. But my paper crafted works are included in Paper Crafts' first ever, brand spanking new book, Party Ensembles. As usual, my projects there are vintage-inspired and celebrate my favorite holiday. I'm super excited to be included in this book. I love the concept!

Happy Easter

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. I did a card workshop on Saturday and it went great. I love how creative these Croatian ladies get. I introduced them to my Cuttlebug and dies. They just took off with them! I'm so bummed that I forgot to bring my camera.

Today's card is one I made for the TCM release last week. It uses Jenny's Owl See you in the Spring set. The papers are Echo Park. The images were colored with Copics.

And my little honey bun insisted on taking a photo with it because it's her favorite card that I created for this release.

Bird-day Birdcage

Hi, friends! Happy weekend! Do you have any crafting plans? I'm having a card workshop tomorrow with some friends and their friends. We planned this two weeks ago, but we were snowed in. We anticipate spring-like weather this weekend, so I can't wait!

Today's card uses one of my latest The Craft's Meow stamps, Tweet of You.  I made it a little whimsical by adding the wings from my Spellbinders Home Sweet Home dies.

The papers are Crate Papers again. The little flower is hiding a little stamping "blob" :-). The colors were inspired by this week's Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger.

Loving Thoughts Birdcage and Artsy Hair

Thank you for joining The Craft's Meow release hop. I hope you found tons of inspiration to apply to your own paper crafted projects.

Today's card uses one of my new TCM sets called Tweet of You (birdcage) and the sentiment is from Sent With Love. It's a fairly simple card with lots of "white" (patterned paper in this case) space.

The gorgeous papers are Melissa France. You can see my new favorite embellishment, Want2Scrap's rose ribbon on this card again. I think what makes it stand out from other companies' similar product is its smaller size, just perfect for card makers like me. The little bird is a punch by Martha Stewart.

Now on a different topic: hair. My girls love it when I fix their hair beyond the simple ponytail. Here are some of our hair adventures that were so much fun to make and produce beautiful results.

This first one we call Everlasting braid bun because you can't tell where the braid starts and ends.

This one is called the Waterfall Braid, which is perfect with shoulder-length hair.
