Gina K Designs Feb 2010 Previews, Day 4

I am so excited to finally show you my latest set, Lovely Labels, which has been months in the making. I worked on this set more than any other set I've ever designed. I hope you will like it as much as I do. :-)

I knew as soon as I started using my Spellbinders Labels dies that I wanted to design stamps to go with them. When I started to work, I wanted to do two things:

• Design stamps that are fancy and decorated, not merely outlines of the dies,
  
• Include more than one type of the labels in the set. As a stamper myself, I know I can't afford to buy a stamp set for each die set I own. So, I decided to create in one large set, four Labels dies (Labels 1, 4, 8 and 9) designs. The 2 stamps for each of these die sets are the sizes I often find myself using regularly.

By the way, you don't need to have the Labels dies in order to enjoy these lovely labels stamps. They are good stamped as they are or hand cut, as you will see when I introduce my Guest DT next week. Included in this set are some all occasion sentiments that can be used for birthday, anniversary, get well, wedding, etc. as seen below on my cards.

I also designed a new digital paper pack called Swing into Spring that compliments the new Spring Assortment paper pack. I made these papers because I've always loved these simple, classic patterns which I haven't been able to find in Croatia and I'm too impatient to get them from the US (not to mention the expensive international shipping). I can print these as much as and in whatever size pattern I want. These papers will be available as full letter sheets or as quarter sheets (4 designs in one page).

I want to show you 3 different styles using Lovely Labels. The first is my current favorite, vintage shabby. This is easily achieved with Lovely Labels. Stamp and die cut the label and sentiment from Inside & Out. I then cut my double-sided Webster's Pages patterned paper, sponged and distressed the edges, stitched around, adhered the lace, ribbon, buttoned flower and pearls.

I went for clean and simple on my card set below, and these were quick to make as well. It helps that GinaK Designs carries the coordinating papers, inks and ribbons.

And here they are individually. Click on the photos to get a bigger view. This one uses Creme de Menthe cardstock and Memento New Sprout ink. The sentiment is from the new Free with 3 set, Inside & Out, a great set with the greetings on the front and a coordinating sentiment for inside the card.

This one uses the new Lovely Lavender cardstock and Vivid Purple stamped twice to get a more pastel color. The sentiments in my next three cards are included in the Lovely Labels set as well.

This one uses Ocean Mist and Vivid Aqua ink stamped twice.

Finally, this one uses Innocent Pink cardstock and Memento Angel Pink ink.

And finally, a classic and elegant design using Lovely Labels. So, you see how versatile this set is, no matter what you style preference is? :-)
