Soft and Feminine Cards

I hope you had a great weekend. We are still facing a big freeze here in Europe with temperatures way below average. It's 14 deg F as I write this when it usually is around 30 and there is no relief in sight soon. It does look like winter wonderland outside, though, which my girls just love!

I have something simply and shabby for you today that uses Want2Scrap Nestabling, but I used it without a Spellbinder die cut, just to see. :) It took less than 10 minutes to make! The sentiment is by Layers of Color, papers by Melissa Frances.

I'm entering this to the CAS-ual Fridays challenge, which is to create a card based on a movie. What a fun challenge! This sentiment was made famous by Barbara Streisand in her movie, Funny Girl. The sketch was inspired by this week's Card Patterns (flipped upside down), my old stomping grounds :). And the colors are inspired by The Play Date Cafe. It feels so good to play with challenges again.
Hello, Gorgeous
Here's the Nestabling pearls up close. Don't you just love it!
Hello, Gorgeous detail2
My next card is one I shared last week over on the SRM blog. It uses their Fancy Stickers Baby on a card that could be for graduation, new baby or job promo...there are so many occasions when the sentiment is perfect.
Hello Congrats
The silhouette lady is part of my LOC's Sweet Silhouettes set, which now out of stock, but hopefully will soon be available through another stamp company. I will share as soon as I'm allowed. And this patterned paper is one of current faves. It's from Crate Paper's Paper Heart.

  4. Nina, these cards are both so pretty. You have such talent! I like how you kept the first card simple, letting the paper do much of the work.

So glad you are able to join us at The Play Date Cafe, and that you are having fun with challenges again. :)

  9. This card is delightful! The bling is so perfect and sets off the card like nothing else can. I like the way you think....turn the paper upside down to get the look of curtains in a theater...ingenious.
