Glamorous Happy Birthday

I hope you all had a great weekend, friends! We had a 4-day one and took a quick trip to Budapest, Hungary. One of the perks of living in Croatia is we're close to many European sites. We took advantage of the weekend and had a much needed break before a crazy summer.

I have a card for you today that uses TCM's Let's Face It and Chalkboard Birthday stamp sets. With this set, you can do 2-step stamping. First stamp the outline image of the pretty lady, then stamp the shawl and hair. I had to add these retro glasses to make the lady more glamorous :).

The papers are October Afternoon. I added a couple of white SRM Stitches Stickers on the background. I used some scrap ribbons and lace on the background.

Here are a few photos from Budapest. It's a beautiful town!
 At night..
And this is the real reason we love Budapest. It's where the closest TGIF is! :) I initially thought, what bad timing to have gallbladder issues when we get to eat at this restaurant (which is real treat and only happens once every few years). But they had delicious salmon that was worth the wait!
Have a great week!

  1. Oh this makes me happy! We were able to go to Budapest last summer, what a wonderful city! Have you guys been to Memento Park? It's outside the city a bit, but such a different type of attraction.

  3. Nina your glamorous card is fabulous - love the way you have used the odds and ends of ribbon and lace behind the panel. So glad to hear you could eat, and enjoy the salmon!

  4. Beautiful pictures! My husband's mom was from Papa, Hungary and worked in Budapest before she emigrated to Canada & later to the US.
