My Guest DT for October

One of the greatest joys of having my own line of stamps is that I get to pick a Guest DT to help promote my GinaK stamps. I have so many talented friends and it's always difficult to decide whom to ask. I always try to pick one whose style fits the stamp images being released. For this month's Lord of the Season set, I asked someone who not only is a talented artist, but also shares my love for the Lord. As the name indicates, Lord of the Season celebrates Christ as one who is Lord of everything and at all times.

It is my honor to introduce you to my good cyber-friend and fellow sister in Christ, Crystal, who agreed to be my Guest DT for this month. Here's a bit of info about her.

How long have you been paper crafting and how did you get started?
I've been papercrafting since 1992. A neighbor had a holiday bazaar in her home and there was an SU demo... I was hooked !!

What are your current favorite:
  • Techniques - Paper piecing and tole
  • Tools- Oh my, it's the Cuttlebug ! I love that thing ! I'm longing for a travel size version ! LOL!
  • Embellishments- Ribbon and gemstones... they finish off a card so nicely without looking weighed down or gaudy. ( nothing wrong with those ... just not quite my style !)
  • Coloring mediums - Copics and watercoloring
What inspires you to create?
It's usually a color combination that catches my eye... in clothing or a magazine or outdoors. Blog hopping and doing the challenges will do it too.

Tell us something about your family.
My husband is really terrific about encouraging and cheering on my hobby ( although I might catch him "choking" on the supply spending !) I have three great sons ... two in college and the youngest , a senior in high school. We have been a big sports family and love the outdoors, traveling and spending time with people.

What is your favorite quote/verse that you live by?
"The Lord your God is with you. He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with His love. He will rejoice over you with singing. " - Zeph. 3:17

Now, feast your eyes on Cyrstal's beautiful cards, using Lord of the Season. Aren't they gorgeous? She's Copic Certified and I can learn a thing or twelve from her coloring.

Make sure you check out Crystal's blog. I know you will not be disappointed. And she'll be joining the Lord of the Season blog hop on Oct 16! Woohoo and I can't wait to show you what I've made. It's something so different from what I usually make, but quite easy to mass produce in time for Christmas. Stay tuned!
