TCM July Release Blog Hop

I have two cards for you today using my new set, Love Dwells Here.  For the first one, I paired it with Ladies and Gents stamp set. I kind of went pattern-crazy on this, but I just love the diff combos.

The different pieces of the house, wings and circles were die cut using Spellbinders' Home Sweet Home and Circle dies. The papers are My Mind's Eye.

My second card with Love Dwells Here is done by my very talented friend, Lea Lawson, in her signature gorgeous style. Be still my vintage-lovin' heart!

Happy Birthday to You

Hi, friends! It's been crazy busy here with our American guests and my poor blog has been neglected. It's a good kind of busy as we are doing a community outreach teaching English in our town with almost 200 kids! It's been wonderful and we're having a great time. And I love having English-speaking guests! I don't have a brain overload by the end of the day...:)

Here is another card using SRM Stickers and Simple Stories' Summer Fresh collection. I love the combo of these products that make happy cards. The banners and sentiments are SRM stickers. The papers, frame and "happy" are from Summer Fresh.

The rose is by Want2Scrap, twine by the Twinery.

Cards and Winners!

Thank you all so much for your visits while I was gone. We took a much needed break. My family and I were treated to a Grecian vacation where we got to see many ancient sites that brought Bible stories to life! We visited places where the Apostle Paul went, like Philippi, Thessaloniki, Corinth, Berea, Athens. It was a trip we will not soon forget. I'll share some photos in a future post. We hit the ground running as we now prepare for a super busy summer (expecting 23 guests this weekend!) that involves English and Youth camps, so I'm still on semi-hiatus on this blog over the next few weeks.

Here are today's cards. I made these a few weeks ago, but never got to sharing them. These use leftover scraps from my Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe collection.

I'm always in need of girly cards for my girls' friends. The sentiments on this card is from a LOC retired set.

This one will be perfect for one of my girls as they are all Daddy's girls (well, they're Mommy's girls, too). It'll be hard to pick which daughter gets it...Hmmm, I may have to whip 2 more similar cards. :)

Before I announce the winners, I have to let you know that most of the prizes will not be mailed out until July 17 at the earliest. I'm sending them through my American friends who will return to the US then. They will get to you faster (and it's more secure!) that way, than if I send them from Croatia. Also:

Wonderful Sweet Friend

I have another Simple Stories card today that pairs well with SRM Stickers. I just love these happy colors, don't you? The banners, sentiments are by SRM. The Wonderful Sweet and papers are part of the Simple Stories collection.

I made a little flag with the "many thanks" sentiment. The rose is by Want2Scrap. I hand cut the leaves. Some twine and buttons finish the card.

Ink Splatter Card #4

Here is the last card in my Want2Scrap Silhouette - Old Time Tricycle series of cards. As I mentioned from my last post, this is my favorite of all 4! I didn't use the silhouette as a stencil this time and no ink splatters! This is the actual shape that I used for the other 3 cards, so it's beautifully covered in shimmery ink. While the others are more grungy and distressed, this is more my style: clean and shabby!

I stitched the main panel from Prima Almanac collection onto the card front. I adhered the silhouette using Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry Paper Glue.

The sentiment and banner are from The Craft's Meow's Vintage Rides stamp set. I adhered a silver rhinestone (from Want2Scrap Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones- Self Adhesive) on the banner ties. Here you can see better the shimmer that's on the silhouette. Isn't it lovely?

Just a Note Emboss Resist

My card for today is another Penny Black/SRM combo. I did the emboss resist on this large Penny Black stamp using Memento inks. The sentiment and the black strip are from SRM's Fancy Stickers.

I did a ruffle with the ribbon just for a change and stitched it in place. And I had this little Want2Scrap swirly bling leftover from another project that seemed to fit right there.
