Watercolored Unity

I have two cards for you today using some Unity stamps. I love that their stamps are huge and still the old-fashioned rubber on cling.

The first one was stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Distress inks. The sentiment is by Penny Black. The wings and tag were highlighted with some fancy Want2Scrap bling. The card base, tag and lace are by Hobby Lobby. I hope you're not getting tired of the striped backgrounds. I bought a 50-card set at 50% off. You can't beat the price and the colors are lovely.

The layout was inspired by the Unity Be Inspired Challenge and the colors by ColourQ. I'm also entering this to the SSS Wed challenge.

For my second card, I colored directly onto the stamp and spread the color around with water on the stamped image. I splattered some water colors to add interest. The sentiment is by Penny Black and bling by Want2Scrap.

This is it for me today. It's a scorcher here in the south. I hope you're enjoying fine weather where you are.

Vintage Christmas Cards

I'm so excited to join my very first Ippity Stamps Blog Hop. I've been a fan ever since they opened for business several months ago. Make sure you stop by the Ippity blog for a list of participants and to see the SNEAK PEEKS.

My cards today use the Season of Joy set, courtesy of my friend JenMarie. I just love the big sentiments, snowflakes, and the frames that fit Spellbinder dies. My first card uses Pink Paislee's papers. And yes, I tore the paper on purpose. :-).

This card uses October Afternoon papers and Cosmo Cricket's tiny type alphabet stickers.

Busy, busy...

...but lots of exciting things going on here that I can't share yet. I've been busy designing and working, in addition to my wife/mom job that I love. I have to hush-hush with all that for now, but there is one exciting thing I can share with you today. ;-)

The Moxie Fab World blog has a new challenge today and Cath featured one of my cards in the Paper Crafts Sep/Oct issue. Go check it out and give it a go. Cath is very generous with her prizes and it's just plain fun.

My card today is from Card Patterns' sketch this week:

And our sponsor is my good friend, JenMarie, who is an Ippity chick. She provided the CP DT with stamps that are so fun to work with. The paper is Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather.

First Day of School

Today my girls start school. My youngest is supposed to start preschool also, but she's still recovering from jetlag and I didn't have the heart to wake her up early this morning. Her preschool is actually just a day care center where we hope she'll learn Croatian and be ready for 1st grade in 2 years.

I'm not sure if I've shared this one yet, but here's my First Day of School card using Unity stamps, October Afternoon Report Card papers and SRM Stickers (Live Life School Days). The colors follow the Moxie Fab Tues Trigger this week.

Happy Labor Day to all my American readers!

Some Moxie Fab Card Style Cards

I've been so busy that I almost forgot to submit these for the Moxie Fab Card Style Challenge that deadlines today. It was so much fun to finally meet Cath at CHA. She's as nice as I imagined who has a very soft soothing voice that I've always wanted. (I have a very low voice and I've been mistaken too many times for a boy on the phone :-).

Anywho, here are my cards. The first two are for the Fun and Cute Category, which is one style I struggle with a lot. The fish and sentiment are from the Stamp TV Eclectic Summer set.
This card uses the Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg papers and chipboard. The sentiment is from Heartily Yours Addition by Gina K Designs.

This card is for the Moxie Fab Elegant and Classy Category that uses my Fine Furnishings and FF Addition sets.

This card uses the Basic Grey Origins papers and Layers of Colors Nature Walk set.

The last cards are for the Vintage Shabby Chic Category, which competes with the Elegant style as my favorite :-). The background roses and bowl are from Layers of Colors' Vintage Roses set.

Finally, this vintage card uses October Afternoon's Report Card papers, Unity stamps and SRM Stickers (Live Life Schooldays) for the sentiments.

Happy Day Bird

If you're here for the SRM Stickers One Hour Challenge post, please go HERE.

It's been a bit gloomy here with the rain and clouds the last few days, so I was just happy to make this bright and cheery card for today's Friends with Flair with Unity Stamps.

I used my brand new Dear Lizzy papers. The stamps are from the Aug 09 KOTM. It's hard to see, but the bird and banner have glitter on them.

Make sure you check out the Unity blog for a list of participants. Happy weekend, everyone!

Gratitude = Joy

It's Unity's anniversary week and it's been a fun celebration. The new Cosmo Cricket kits are on my wish list, for sure.

My first card today is for two of the challenges they have going: Love At First Sight and Triple Take. Gratitude = Joy and Feel the Joy are two of my very first Unity kits. The four patterned papers I used are from Webster's Pages, Green Apple and ivory cardstocks by GinaK, button by Papertrey, pearls by Mark Richards.

Make sure you stop by Unity's blog to see more details of their anniversary celebration and a list of today's Friends With Flair hop.

Card #2 is also for the Triple Take using all Cosmo Cricket papers, Going to the Birds and for the Etsy Inspired challenges using images the Bee Things store. This was my inspiration:

And I followed the color scheme of bright yellow, spring green and black on my card. I used the sentiment from the Aug08 KOTM and the bird from the July09 KOTM. It's a bit hard to see, but the sentiment is on a curved little banner.

Two cards, two different styles

Welcome to Unity's FWF! I'm so excited to be able to participate again as I just love my Unity! Have you seen their new blog? AWESOME! Just looking at it makes me happy inside. I like the pics of the beautiful DTs on the side, too. And I can't wait until the "deal of the day" becomes available. :-)

I made two cards, two different styles, today. The first one is cutesy & fun and uses the Believe in Fairytales Store Kit (trees). I just love it and if you don't have a LSS, check out Limelight Papercrafts. I'm not affiliated with them, just a very satisfied customer. The sun is from the A Pocket Full KOTM and the sentiment is from Bevy of Butterflies. The patterned papers are October Afternoon Farm Fresh.

My next card is shabby chic. This was inspired by a sketch on the Papercrafts magazine a few months ago. The big elegant background is Everlasting Romance. I stamped a butterfly from Bevy of Butterflies on the tag and the sentiment is also from the A Pocket Full KOTM. I hand wrote "you."

Have a great weekend, everyone. I'm off to go visiting and maybe some shopping.

Cosmo Cricket Van

Welcome to Unity's Friends with Flair Friday. Please visit Unity's blog for a list of participants and find the flair for a chance to win some yummy Unity stamps. Have you seen the new KOTM sets? I think the new store kit is my favorite. I love that doll house.

I have a simple card for you, using my favorite Cosmo Cricket papers, Nutmeg. I used a quote from Following my Heart Aug09 KOTM. I stamped it with Memento Markers. I just love that quote, reminds me of the graduation speech when my husband finished seminary. The van is chipboard sticker, also a from CC. The cardbase is GKD Chocolate Kiss; the buttons from the Autumn Button Assortment.

Snowbody card

Thanks for joining me today for Unity's Friends with Flair. Check the Unity blog for the list of participants and find the hidden flair to get a chance to win some Unity stamps.

I used my long awaited Unity stamp set, the November Store Kit: Believe in Fairytales, for my card. This was a birthday gift that I got 2 months ago and I'm delighted to finally get my hands on them. International shipping sometimes can be frustrating.

Here's my card with the snowman image and the coordinating sweet sentiment. This will be for my hubby, so I had to pick his favorite college team's colors, red and black.

Snowbody

Stamps:
Unity Store Kit Nov 09 (snowman and sentiment), Vintage Borders (music background)
Papers: GKD Soft Sand and Rocket Red, Jolly by Golly papers
Ink: Memento Black and Vivid Brick Red

I have two cards to show you that I made a few months back, but never got to share here. First is a Christmas card with the huge pear tree stamp from the June KOTM. The little bird is by HeroArts. They're both colored with Copics. I'm entering this to Cath's new challenge, Moxie Fab's All Creatures Great and Small.

My next card is something for a sweet little girl. The cupcake image is from the August KOTM and the sentiment is again by Hero Arts.

Butterfly happy

I hope you all had a great thanksgiving. We wished we were with our families in the US, but we are very thankful for our Croatian "family," with whom we spent our day yesterday. I'll make this post short and sweet as we are expecting company later today.

I have another butterfly card to show you for Unity's Friends with Flair. Check Unity's blog for the list of participants. Today's butterfly comes from Unity's Butterfly Beauty set. I stamped it using Kaleidocolor Bouquet inkpad. The sentiment is from July 09 KOTM. I used GinaK Sweet Corn for the base and the DP is by Little Yellow Bicycle, ribbon is by Michael's, brad is by Basic Grey.

I have more butterfly cards to show you in the next few days, starting tonight at 10PM CST for the StampTV CSS Blog Hop. I hope you can join us!

Unity meets Cosmo Cricket

Thanks to the generosity of my friends, I have some new Unity stamps that I used for today's Friends with Flair cards. They are so good to fuel my Unity addiction - gotta love friends like that. For a list of participants, go to this thread at SCS or the Unity blog. And don't forget to find the flair for a chance to win some Unity stamps!

My first card uses the Folk Inspired set. The clock is colored with Copics. The patterned papers are Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg, my current favorite papers. The colors are so yummy and I'm so glad I have the matching Copic markers to go with them. The cardbase is GinaK Kraft and the tag is Sweet Corn. The ribbon is by Michael's and button is PTI.

The second card is probably my favorite of the three. I just love that big Plaid Journal Box. The sentiment is by Cloud 9. The papers are again by Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg. Other supplies used are SU Certainly Celery ribbon, PTI buttons and GinaK Chocolate Kiss cardstock.

My last card uses the Jolly Little Winter set and Cosmo Cricket Jolly By Golly papers. They just work well together, don't you think?

I hope you all have a good weekend, everyone.
