Gothic Cross card

Today's card is perfect for the upcoming Easter, or what Christians call Resurrection Sunday. In many ways, it is more important than Christmas because it celebrates Christ's resurrection after His sacrificial death on the cross on behalf of undeserving people. Jesus's resurrection is the reason Christmas happened and signifies that He conquered sin and death. As a result, we can have hope and eternal life in Him! What a blessed truth. I hope you will find time this weekend, amidst egg hunts, family gatherings and eating chocolate bunnies, to reflect on this life-changing truth and be changed by it.

If you want to know more about why Christ's life, death and resurrection are important, go >>HERE<<. I just have to add the words to one of my favorite hymns, Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood;
Sealed my pardon with His blood.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Guilty, vile, and helpless we;
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
“Full atonement!” can it be?
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die;
“It is finished!” was His cry;
Now in Heav’n exalted high.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

When He comes, our glorious King,
All His ransomed home to bring,
Then anew His song we’ll sing:
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

My card uses Layers of Color's Gothic Crosses set. The papers are by Provocraft and DCWV. The verse is by Clear Dollar Stamps. The ribbon and lace are from a local shop. I used the Ranger's crackle glue for the first time and I really like the results.

You can see it here close-up.

I'll be taking a few days off, but don't forget to check out my BLOG ANNIVERSARY GIVEAWAY. Thanks to those who entered already!
