A card, an announcement, a deal and a new addition to our family

This cold/flu bug has hit me like a ton of bricks! It's been a while since I've been this sick and I didn't know what to do with myself. I tried to get around yesterday and suffered for it late afternoon and evening yesterday with high temps again. I seem to feel much better now. We'll see how long it lasts. My family has already recovered. Thank you for your prayers!

Before I share my card, have you seen the Penny Black blog today? My friend Laura and I have been officially introduced to their family! It's been great working with them and I look forward to many years and designs with them and with you all!

Also, i just want to pass on a GREAT deal. Want2Scrap is celebrating National Scrapbook Day (May 5th) by having a HUGE 30% Off Sale on their Entire Website this week from May 1st - May 4th! On May 5th ALL BLING IS ON SALE FOR ONLY 99 CENTS! It's time to stock up!

Now, my card...I have another springy one for you that uses my Spellbinders Sewing Elements  and Dress Forms dies. The sentiment is from TCM's Sew Lovely stamps. The papers are WeR Memory Keepers.

Finally, I want to share with you the newest member of our family! Meet Max, named after Maxwell Smart from one of our favorite TV shows!
He's a half Maltese and half Poodle. He's one of the least allergenic types of dogs, which is required for us. He's so sweet and can you tell that my girls are smitten?

For My Friend

I have a simple pastel card for you today using my Spellbinders Sewing Elements dies, The Craft's Meow's Cherished set and some WeRMemory Easter papers that I won from a recent Paper Crafts challenge. I love these soft colors.

Here are the Sewing Elements close up. I used some very thin paper scraps for these. thus the holes on the thimbles. Otherwise, they are usually just embossed. I do like this "distressed" thimble, though :).

I made a "window" using Spellbinders Deco Dress Forms dress die. I taped the twine over the blue patterned paper to create a sash and  mounted the front panel with foam dots.
