Merci Chandelier

I hope you all had a relaxing weekend like I did. We didn't go out much because it's still below freezing here. Thankfully, there's no snow. I can't wait for spring. That's why I made this card with its spring colors!

This is for StampTV's Sketch Spotlight Challenge and Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge this week. I used my Fine Furnishings set and Lovely Labels 2 for the sentiment. The pretty paper is from Life is Good by Echo Park paper.

STVSKSP15 Merci
Well, I'm off to clean up a little. We have workers coming tomorrow to measure things. And after creating a few cards this weekend, my desk is a little messy. I always need to clean up after each project or I would be lost. My craft area is not very big, so I have to put things away after I use them or I wouldn't have any space to work. I like that I'm forced to do that :-).

Simple Shabby

Today's card is for Stamp TV's Color Spotlight Challenge #13. I call the style simple shabby because it's much simpler than my usual shabby vintage cards.

The label is from Lovely Labels set. The cross and sentiments are from Christ is Risen. The papers are GKD Wild Dandelion and Creme de Menthe. The patterned paper is from Echo Park's Life is Good. The banner die is from Spellbinders Ribbon Banner dies.

Elegant Wedding Pop up Card

Welcome to Layers of Color's Cake Decorating Party. I'm so glad you can join us as we feature different cake-inspired projects today. Make sure you stop by the Layers of Color blog for more info about a special giveaway.

I decided to make a pop up wedding card for today's hop. This is a very special card because I've spent more time on this than any card I've ever made. And I enjoyed every minute of it. Each of my 3 young daughters is trying to convince me that I should save it for when she gets married :-). I told them I don't think it will last that long.

I used the new Webster's Pages papers to cover both the front and inside of the card. You can see how much I love that vintage heart image from Fleur Heart. The butterfly is from Butterfly Collector. The bottom scallops were die cut using Spellbinders Borderabilities dies.

Elegant Wedding Pop Up Card
Here is the inside with the popped up wedding card. I die cut Spellbinders Labels Four in three different sizes, then stamped them with images from the Merci Bouquet set. The cake stand is from Her Majesty's Urns set.
Elegant Wedding Pop Up Card inside
This is the side view so you can see how I popped it. The sentiment is from Sent With Love and die cut with Spellbinder's brand new Fancy Tags Three.

And here's a close up where you can see the glitter on the flowers. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

My card for today is for Stamp TV's Sketch Spotlight Challenge #14. The stamps are Christ Is Risen and the papers and little bird tag are Basic Grey Curio. I cut the sentiment with Spellbinders Labels 14.

Introducing Christ is Risen

Here is my latest, Christ is Risen, perfect for all your Easter projects. I included several sentiments to make it versatile for other occasions.
For Christians like me, Easter is a very important holiday because it's a time we celebrate Christ's resurrection from the dead. It's the very reason He stands out from the rest of us. He conquered death and because of that, we have hope! It's a time of celebration and I try to reflect that on the Christ is Risen set.

And here's a sample card using it, along with some K&Co papers and one of my latest Spellbinder die designs, Fleur de lis Doily Accents.

And starting tomorrow, don't forget to join the Card Patterns crew starting tomorrow as we celebrate our 2nd Anniversary with a daily card inspiration and lots of great prizes!

SRM Stickers Card and Tube

My projects for today are a birthday card and gift packaging using SRM Stickers products, The Tube and WGYS Happy. These things make cardmaking and gifting a cinch. I simply wrapped the long stickers around the tube and filled it with cash. The papers are October Afternoon. These would be great for tween girls, don't you think?

Have you been checking out the SRM Stickers blog? They've been introducing the new 2011 DT and you will love the daily inspiration you can find there.

Finally, tonight is Gina K Designs' release party night on Stamp TV, 7-10pm CST, just FYI. Have a good Thursday!

Gina K Designs Previews, Day Three

Welcome to day three of the Gina K Designs' previews. Today we're showcasing two sets. One is my latest, Christ is Risen, which is full of vintage Christian images, sentiments, and a Bible verse.

The cross, sentiment, and crown are from the set. A ribbon banner stamp is included in the set, but I used one of my favorite new Spellbinders dies, Ribbon Banners on my card. The sentiments fit inside either these banner dies or Labels 14. I die cut the banner die, then sponged ink on the embossed part. The papers are Webster's Pages.

Here's another card to show that this set is not just for Easter.

Another set we're showing today is Tami Mayberry's Live Life Loud. This is perfect for your music-loving teens and especially boys, whom I find hard to make cards for. This set will make it easier now. The argyle paper is Report Card by Oct Aft.

Easter Chicks

Welcome to Gina K Designs' first day of previews. Today, we are featuring the talented Melanie's newest sets, Spring Basket and Basket Blessings. They coordinate with many of Melanie's previous sets, so this makes them must-have's.

For my card, I stamped the basket from Spring Basket and the inserts from Basket Blessings, then colored them with Copic markers. The striped paper is American Crafts Dear Lizzy. The cardstocks are GKD Wild Dandelion and Creme de Menthe.

For more samples of Melanie's sets, make sure you visit the Gina K team's blogs. The more you comment on the DT's blogs, the more chances you have of winning these new sets!

New CHA goodies

For my card today, I get to play with some new products I got from Winter CHA. The papers are Pink Paislee's new Soiree collection. The flower, sentiment and stitches are from SRM Stickers WGYS Plus Flower. The round doily was cut using my new Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs die.

This is for this week's Card Patterns sketch. Our sponsor is Craftbrulee that sent us some yummy trims (the beautiful lace on my card) and handmade flowers.

Nina Sketch 102
On another note, my dear husband and I had a Valentine dinner and a movie last night with our sweet girls. He made these heart-shaped burgers, served with grilled mushrooms and sweet potato fries. It was so good that we decided to repeat it for tonight's dinner. Yumm!
And we finally watched a movie called Secretariat. My girls are horse buffs and we all loved this movie. You should have seen us cheering during one of the race scenes. I think we woke up our neighbors. :-)

I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Valentine weekend.

Love Cup

Here's another card that I made a few weeks ago and haven't posted on my blog. It was for Card Patterns sketch 100. Our sponsor was Designed2Delight, which provided this darling cup image. The papers are Webster's Pages and the sentiment is by SRM Stickers Express Yourself Valentine.

Red and Black

I am back from the trip to the US and still feeling the CHA buzz. The highlight for sure is meeting so many of my blogging friends. It was an experience I will not soon forget. It was so good, however, to finally see my family at the airport. My girls made me a very colorful welcome banner that came with their wonderful hugs and kisses.

I am slowly recovering from jetlag and trying to get back on schedule. I haven't been creative , but here are some cards I made before I left. They use one of my favorite color combos of red, black and white.

This card uses my Hugs and Prayers and Fanciful Tags sets.

This one uses my latest Gleefully Yours set.
