The Craft's Meow's Previews: Little Angels

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's September previews. Today we're showing a heavenly set by my friend Clare Buswell called Little Angels. This set is so adorable and perfect for paper piecing and/or Copic coloring. I did both on my vintage shabby card today. I paper pieced the dress but added highlights using Copics. The hair and skin were also colored with Copics.

The papers are My Mind's  Eye. You can see the close up of the sweet angel here.

The Craft's Meow's March Release Blog Hop

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's March Release Blog Hop. Thank you for joining us today. If you came from Mabelle's blog, then you're at the right spot. To see the full list, make sure you visit the TCM blog. I have 3 cards to show you today. I could share more, but will save the others for later posts. I had so much fun with this month's sets.

My first card uses my Take the Cake stamp set. This time I made a wedding card. I went CAS on this one, but not all the way. I had to sneak in some lace, buttons and pearls in there somewhere :). I stamped the cake layers in inks that coordinate with my Basic Grey True Love papers.
TCM-Cake2
For my second card, I went vintage shabby with the Sweet Silhouettes stamp set. Remember that you can get this set for FREE with $50 purchase. I distressed the edges of my papers and inked my Spellbinders Labels 10 die cut and stamped with the frame from the set. The papers are My Mind's Eye. The chipboard shape embellishment on the bottom are by Want2Scrap. This card would be perfect for Graduation, promotion, engagement, etc.
TCM-Silh2
My third card uses Karen's Birthday Pun set. I love the sentiments. The papers are again My Mind's Eye. I was going to go for a masculine card, but I just had to add that lace there. :) I did more distressing here and random stitching. I found this black hemp twine and used it for a bow.

Here are my new sets:
6 x 8, $24
Coordinates with Spellbinders Labels 10
4 x 4 - FREE with $50 Purchase

The Craft's Meow is giving away the 4 new sets to random commenters. Happy Birthday Roses

I have been swamped with design deadlines and missing spring. Yes, that white stuff in the background of my card below is snow! We got at least 6 inches yesterday.

I thought I needed a break from computer work and make something with my hands. I saw the Flourishes Colorful Challenge and was inspired to enter. I took out my Copics to color these Lenten Roses stamps, probably my favorite of their stamps.

Here it is close up. The sentiment is from SRM's WGYB Birthday. The papers are My Mind's Eye and pearls by Want2Scrap.

I have another Christmas card for you today that I shared on the Want2Scrap blog the other day. For my focal image, I used Spellbinders' Poinsettia dies. I die cut it three time white, red and olive cardstock and layered them. I put 3 rhinestones from the 72 Count - Silver/Clear Rhinestones - Self Adhesive in the center of the flower.

TCM Previews: Beautiful Shelf

Welcome to day three of The Craft's Meow's November Release. Today, we're showcasing another set that I designed called Beautiful Shelf.

It's going to be a part of a series of sets that coordinate together. Be on the look out for future releases (themed and seasonal) that will work well with this set. For now, we start with the basic set with the shelf and some pretty little things you can use to add to it. I also want to note that the shelf also can be used as a credenza/sideboard/cupboard.

On my card below, I used the shelf as a sideboard that sits on the floor. I don't know if you can see it, but the white strip mimics a baseboard. The pretty background paper is the wall paper and the stripes mimic the flooring.
Love-You2
I colored the vase of flowers with Copics, paper pieced the "shelf" with woodgrain paper. The sentiment is from yesterday's set, Stitched Sentiments Two. The papers are My Mind's Eye.

TCM Previews: Stitched Sentiments Two

Welcome to day two of The Craft's Meow's November Release. We're showing today the Stitched Sentiments Two, which is part two of a previous (and very popular) set, Stitched Sentiments. I designed both sets to coordinate with the many sewing-themed stamps I illustrated (Sew Happy, Sew Lovely, Stitched Flowers).  Stitched Sentiments Two is this release's FREE set with a $50 purchase!
You-Rock
For my card today, I used Stitched Flowers and colored them with Copics to match the My Mind's Eye papers. I layered two flowers and curled up the petals of the top flower. To highlight the sentiment from Stitched Sentiments Two, I framed it with some Want2Scrap "rock" Nestabling. :) Some salmon seam binding (from Ribbon Carousel) and coordinating button finish the card.

Hello, friends. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! We don't have Thanksgiving here in Croatia, but we celebrated it as a family. We even had our own version of Black Friday (without the deals :( ) and finished our Christmas shopping. Then the weekend was spent at church and cleaning my house. After I've been sick for a couple of weeks, I've been playing catch up. It's been busy and so I apologize for the delay in announcing the winners of the NinaB Designs blog hop. Please scroll below!

The Craft's Meow team has previews this week for our November release. Today's set is one by Mabelle RO called Valentine Wishes. It's her signature cute and adorable style that is so fun to color and/or paper piece like I did below.
Val-Wishes
I colored her hair and pants with Copics and paper pieced the dress. The papers are My Mind's Eye. I adorned my card with some Want2Scrap bling.

NinaB Designs November Blog Hop

Welcome to the monthly NinaB Designs team blog hop. NinaB Designs is a product designer for a few paper crafting companies, including Spellbinders, Want2ScrapPenny Black, and The Craft's Meow. For this month's hop, I challenged the team to create something with Winter and Holidays in mind.

The holidays provide many opportunities for paper crafters to give an extra personal touch to every occasion.  Whether you are doing place cards for a dinner, tags for gift giving or even just hand made projects using your supplies on hand, it is a blessed season indeed!

I used a lot of scrap papers for my projects today. That is one advantage of using dies.:) My first card uses my Sweet Folk Art dies with Simple Stories and My Mind's Eye papers.
Angel
I used felt for the hair/halo and the heart.Using my white pen, I connected the holes on the wings to make them look stitched. All the dies in this set have the holes for a quilted/stitched look. The sentiment is TCM's Season's Greetings.
Angel-det
My second card is a winter scene using my Home Sweet Home and Sweet Folk Art dies (heart banner). Again these were die cut using My Mind's Eye scraps. I hand cut the snow drift.
All-is-Calm
The background snowflake is Madison Paper pack by Penny Black. The sentimet is from All is Bright stamp set, also by Penny Black.
All-is-Calm-det
Here are the products I used for my project:
S5-141 Sweet Folk Art

Prize Package #2: Retired Layers of Colors stamps, Vintage Postcard and Elegant Labels
