Beautiful Dahlia Birthday

I have a vintage inspired card for you today using my Penny Black Sweet Dahlia stamp set. I colored it with Copic markers. It's been a while since I used my markers. The circle sentiments is from the ...Wishes set, which was die cut using Spellbinders Classic Circle dies. The papers are Prima. I distressed, stitched and inked edges of the different layers. Scrapbook Adhesives by3L Foam squares come in handy for the layers. Pearls by Want2Scrap.

It has been raining here, so I wasn't able to photograph my card well. I like to use natural light. The photo above was taken in the shade. Here's a better look at the flower.

The sketch is inspired by Retro Sketches #111. I'm also entering this to the SSS Monday Challenge to use a big stamp.

Sending Love Dahlia

Happy Monday, friends! I've been busy traveling this past weekend. We got to visit some decades-old friends we don't get to see except every several years when we're in the US. It was a delightful, encouraging and definitely blessed weekend for me and my family. How about you? Did you do any crafting?

Today's card is something I put together with my limited supplies. When I packed my crafty travel kit, I knew I had to include my favorite Copic combos. I used them here. The main panel is Penny Black's Sweet Dahlia set. The card base is store bought.

The birdcage is by Webster's Pages. The sentiment is TCM's Stitched Sentiments. The butterfly is Pink Paislee. I inked the edges with Distress inks. I adhered all these pieces using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Here's the close up of the dahlia which, along with the word "Beautiful," was colored with Copics.

This card was inspired by this week's Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger. I'm still not very good at making collages because I want everything to be straight and symmetrical :). Have a great week!
