Love You Butterfly from Scraps

Happy Monday, friends. I hope you had a great weekend and are looking forward to see what the new week holds. I have been enjoying all the sneak peeks from CHA. My wish list is ever growing, and I haven't even seen everything that's new! It's a good thing I'm not here. It makes it easier to resist getting them all :). Valentine's day is coming up, though, and I always get something crafty as a gift from my hubby. :).

Speaking of Valentine's, here's a card for one of my girls using some scraps I found on my desk. I stamped that frame awhile ago, back when TAC still existed. It was cut with a Spellbinders die. I have updated a newer version that Layers of Color is selling at a huge discount now, in preparation for the transfer of some of LOC designs to a new stamp company. The butterfly is a Hero Arts digital download.
Love You Butterfly
I colored the butterfly with Copics to match the gorgeous paper from My Mind's Eye. I'm entering this to the Lily Pad PP Challenge. And since this card represents what I think is my true style (simple shabby), I'm entering this to the SSIC Challenge as well. The sketch is inspired by Card Patterns #150.

Today's card is for Card Patterns Sketch #132. I used some of my Angel Company stamps before I knew that the company was closing down. I still love these images (from How Tweet of You set, for sale below) and go perfectly with these Echo Park Papers.

Happy Bird-day

TGIF! Today's card is for this week's Card Patterns sketch. Our sponsor is My Craft Spot, which provided the beautiful fibers that grace my card.

The stamps are The Angel Company's How Tweet of You. The papers are Echo Park's Country Drive, which go well with this stampset. I die cut the main focal image with Spellbinders Circle and Lacey Circle dies.

Mr & Mrs. and a Giveaway!

Hi, all. I am officially on vacation and have scheduled my blog for pre-posts the next several days. I'm thankful for some friends who will "flower sit" for me while I'm gone, so I don't have to come home to some dead plants. I know I'm just relaxing right now (at least, I hope so), and I want to share my joy by having some prizes up for grabs! Please scroll down below for more info.

Today's card uses two of my favorite TAC stamps, Sweet Silhouettes and Beautiful Lace. I really enjoyed making this card, made me wish I knew paper crafting back when I got married. The lace was die cut using Spellbinders Large Scalloped Circle Nestabilities.
Mr & Mrs
***Please note that I only link to my friend Angi's TAC online store for my posts, but please call your local TAC demo if you want to purchase these. Contact the TAC office to find a demo near you. Thank you!

Now about that giveaway, let's make this more interesting. There will be two giveaways.

First Giveaway. I'll do the usual comment to win. One comment per day. I will pick a winner starting from today's post till Sept 4th's post to get the following. If you happen to have one or all of these, I will be happy to substitute other sets that are available.
For the second giveaway, if you want to, please "like" my "NinaB Designs" Facebook page. I will pick a random FB friend to win some Mystery Spellbinder dies that I designed!

Now, here are some things to consider for the first giveaway:
  • You don't need a blog to enter. I've set up my blog so you can comment as "Anonymous." Just make sure you leave me your email or other distinguishing info on your post.
  • Leave a comment every day to better your chances. Remember, I will pick one winner from today till Sept 4, 2011's post.
  • I will pick the winner from those who left comments on the blog posts. So, please don't enter via email or the chat box on the left. I have no way to keep track of them all. Sorry :-(.
  • The giveaways are open to everyone in the world! However, you are responsible to pay for taxes incurred.

Finally, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your visits. It encourages me to keep going with what I do. I hope you always find inspiration from my work. Blessings to you!

Just For You

Yay, it's Friday! It's going to be a great day. My parents arrived safely and I'm expecting a group of young ladies who want to learn how to cook and make cards! It'll be busy, but fun!

Today's card uses The Angel Company's Fairy Wishes and Special Moments sets. The papers are K&Co. The intricate border was die cut using my Spellbinders  Parisian Accents dies.

Happy Birthday

I hope you all had a great weekend. Today is a holiday in Croatia, so it still feels like the weekend here :).

Today's card is for Card Patterns sketch this week. I used my Angel Company's Special Moments set for this simple shabby card. I really love this set because of the huge fonts. sometimes you just want your sentiment to be the focal point of your card. The papers are again K&Co.

Let Your Dreams Soar

I hope you enjoyed a great weekend. Ours was full of sad goodbyes as we said farewell to our American friends. Goodbyes are such a big part of our life being expats, and we still have a hard time every time we do it. Our younger ones were hit the hardest. We remind them that it's difficult and we cry because we feel loved. God has given us so many wonderful friends and family whom we miss and who miss us back and what a blessing that is!

On a different note, I was able to create with some of my new TAC stamps, Fairy Wishes. The papers are K&Company. It's a  new color combo for me: melon, aqua and brown, but I think I like it and will use it again.
Let your dreams
Here's the stamp set in its entirety, Fairy Wishes:
I'm entering this to the Moxie FabWorld's Fanatical About Botanical Challenge. Life's been so busy all summer. I've missed participating in my favorite challenges. Make it a great Monday!

CAS Thank You

Thank you so much for your comments on yesterday's post. There is still chance to win some blog candy by commenting there.

Yesterday I shared a CASE'd card. Today's is a CAS (clean and simple) card. I used some of my new TAC stamps, Dotted Dahlia and Special Moments. I fussy cut the flower after coloring it with Copics. I intentionally colored the flower to make it look a little on the rustic side, just to try. :) The leaves were stamped with white ink on olive cardstock.
Thank you Dahlia
And I mentioned in a previous post that I was going away for camp. Everything you've seen on my blog till yesterday was pre-scheduled (and I'm so glad blogger didn't fail me!). Well, here is a slide show of where I was with my family and church and what we did. We went to the beautiful Croatian coast. This place is called Pag, which is an island. It was a great time with friends, both old and new, enjoying God's creation, Bible learning and playing games. This is an annual event and our girls always look forward to it every year.

Sew, what's new?

Thank you so much for your kind words about my Angel Company stamps on yesterday's post. I received several inquiries about a way to purchase them. I am about to go camping, but when I return I am going to find a way to provide links to a TAC e-commerce store on my TAC posts, so that you can shop online. If you don't want to wait for that info, please contact The Angel Company by phone, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm CST at 785-212-6113 OR drop them an email at tac@theangelcompany.net, and they will connect you to a demo who will gladly take your order. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement regarding my work!

Today's card features more of my new TAC stamps, Sewing Labels and Sew Lovely. The labels set coordinate with some of the older Spellbinders dies. The papers I used are Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends again. The buttons were punched with a 3/4" circle punch.
Here are the stamps I used:  Sew Lovely and Sewing Labels
Have a great weekend, everyone!

My first The Angel Company stamps!

Hello! I'm so excited to show you the first sneak peeks of my new stamp line through The Angel Company. If you're not familiar with TAC, their products are available through their demonstrators. If you host a party, you get rewards and tons of discounts. Unlike other demo-only companies, they sell products that we all love (Copics, Memento inks, Spellbinder dies, etc), in addition to their exclusive line of papers, stamps, etc. And you get rewarded/discounts for your purchases. If you don't want to host a party, you can shop online.

My new sets will debut on their catalog (and it's chock full of paper crafting goodies), which will go on sale on June 27! Today, I'm joining the TAC's DT as we feature the new Vintage Rides set. It includes 4 modes of transportation, a flying banner, sentiments that fit inside and two other sentiments. This set is perfect for many occasions.

It just so happens that today is Flag Day. So, for my cards, I used the good ole red, white and blue! Both my cards use October Afternoon papers and the images were colored with Copics. The first one also uses Spellbinders' Floral Doily Accents and Classic Rectangle dies.
