WMS Pajama Party Mixed Media Card and Tag

It's been a dreary and rainy day, a perfect one for crafting. I have a couple of projects for you today that I made for the Waltzingmouse Pajama Party challenges. It's been a while since I participated in challenges just because. I miss that about my hobby. I think I will have to fix that right away :).

My first one is for the Thank You challenge 1. I first watercolored the background and stamped Penny Black's Text background over that. I stamped the tree from  Waltzingmouse's Blessed By You set  in Versafine. I then used DecoArt dimensional paste and Want2Scrap's stencil to add the brick on the bottom left. Some Want2Scrap corrugated cardboard anchor the sentiment, also from Blessed by You.
WMS-Thanks
I inked the corrugated cardboard with white craft ink. A button with burlap twine finish the card.

This next one is a tag for the WMS Tag, You're It Challenge. I heat embossed with white various images from a few WMS stamp sets: Blessed by You (tree, leaf on the pear), Peace and Plenty (pear), Fancy Flourishes (flourish) and Chicken Wire. I then blended Distress inks on the tag.

The pear was fussy cut and paper pieced with vintage-looking patterned papers. I adhered a button with twine on the pear and some Want2Scrap bling on the bottom.

That's it for me today. I hope you're enjoying your weekend. By the way, I have a giveaway going on all weekend. More info on yesterday's post.

New Home

Here's a quick card for you today for the Waltzing Mouse Blog Party with the theme, New Beginnings. I used the Chicken Wire stamps and Cottage Home stamps (links below) to make this New Home card. I love this little Victorian house.

I colored the house with Copics without shading to match the patterned paper.

My card also follows the WMS Sketch Challenge this week. The colors follow The Pink Elephant's color inspiration.

My TCM stamps still haven't arrived, so I'm missing the previews. I hope you will join the rest of the team on the TCM blog and check out what's new!

Bright Mother's Day cards

I have been doing some more spring cleaning and de-hoarding my supplies. I have a small craft area in our bedroom and it feels good to get rid of stuff by making something from once loved products. It feels even better when I find stuff that hasn't been used. Almost 100% of my projects here on my blog use at least one thing I designed (stamps, dies, bling). I am, however, also a fan of other similar products, but just never get around to using them. If only there were more hours in a day! :)

Most of them were given to me as gifts (I have very generous friends and family :)). I hope to be able to use these neglected supplies and show my cards in future posts. I started yesterday with the beautiful Spring Bouquet stamp from Flourishes. For my card below, I used Papertrey Ink's Rosie Posie stamps. The sentiments is Waltzing Mouse's Blessed By You set. I love the sentiments in this set. The papers were my favorite papers last year, Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe, and these are the last remaining sheets from that collection. The pearls are by Want2Scrap. I'm entering this to Flourishes Lovely in Lace Challenge.

Here's CARD #2 that is super simple. It's perfect for the CAS-ual Friday challenge, which is being sponsored by The Craft's Meow. And the flowers are perfect for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge as well. I accented the flower with a border die cut using Spellbinders Edgeabilities dies. The sentiments is from The Craft's Meow's Mother and Father set.

See you all back here on Sunday for the NinaB Designs' Blog Hop with lots of inspiration and prizes! Have a great weekend!

Spring Love

We are finally getting warmer weather and the snow is slowly melting away. Though it's still hovering right above freezing, we can finally enjoy being outside again. I was inspired to make this spring card.

The butterflies are Hero Arts digital stamps. The chevron background and sentiment (which was die cut using Spellbinders Home Sweet Home dies) are by Waltzingmouse stamps, the gray PP is Echo park. The bling is Want2Scrap. The links are below.
With Love
The butterflies were colored with Copics. I think this is the first time I've ever tried to blend two different color families.
With Love details

I also used WMS Sketch for my card:
and the color scheme is from CR84FN challenge.
Have a great weekend, friends!
