Pretty Princess Owl and Exciting news!

In case you missed the hint on yesterday's post, I am now designing for Penny Black, Inc. It's been months in the works and I'm glad I can finally share this exciting  news. One of the best parts of this new adventure is I get to continue working with my dear friend Laura Campbell! You can see a sneak peek of my two sets releasing soon on the PB blog. You will recognize the lady stamp, for sure :).

I have another happy card for you today using some Jenny Suchin stamps by The Craft's Meow. The banners are from the Owl Journaling set. The owl and mailbox are from Spring is Here set. I curled up the bottom parts of the banners for added effect :).

These happy papers are by October Afternoon. The sentiment tag is left overs from Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe kit. I hand cut the grass. The mailbox and owl were colored with Copic markers.

Birthday Girl Vespa, Winners and a little peek!

I hope you had a great weekend. We had some rain here with chilly winds. It was a perfect paper crafting kind of weather :).

I have a girly card for you today and my girls totally love it. I used the Vespa scooter from my new TCM Vintage Rides stamps for this card. I colored it with Copics.

I just love these happy papers from October Afternoon's Sidewalks collection. I die cut some scalloped borders using Spellbinders Edgeabilities dies and layere them here. .

TCM April 2012 Release Blog Hop

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's April 2012 Blog Hop featuring 6 sets! But first, some blog admin stuff...:)

Blogger has been causing problems for some of our designers all week long so you may come across a few of our designers' blogs that do not appear updated with today's blog hop post. I wanted to highlight as many of the stamp sets being released onto my cards, so I made collage cards today. I don't do this often because I feel they turn out messy. My "OCD" likes everything straight and balanced :). I did overcome that hurdle and made these. The background fence is from Nature's Beauty. The plane is from Travel Time. The stamp sentiment is from Giddy Up! and the sentiment is from Inspired by Audrey.

Do you see the burlap peeking through? I love that texture. The "stamp" on the bottom right is die cut with Spellbinders dies, along with the border Edgeabilities Classic Petal.

 

For this card, I used the Owl Journaling for the note paper. The horse and sentiment are from Giddy Up! The canceled stamp is from Travel Time. The background flower is from Nature's Beauty.

 

The papers are scraps from October Afternoon and My Mind's Eye. I inked all the edges of all the layers. Some burlap string, seam binding and buttons finish my cards.

Now onto something a little different. I couldn't fit in the cute images and punny sentiments from Vintage Rides in my collage cards, so I have to show you this. The papers are Cosmo Cricket. The image is colored with Copics. Doesn't this card just evoke nostalgia? Now my youngest has a bike that's very similar to this.

TCM Previews: Giddy Up!

Welcome to the last day of the TCM Previews before our release tomorrow. Today, The Craft's Meow team is featuring a set of mine called Giddy Up!. It's a re-release of a set The Angel Company sold before they closed.

This is a western-themed set that includes a silhouette horse with a damask "saddle."  The sentiments fit inside the Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio 3. I loved this saying on my card from the moment I heard it for the first time from my Southern gentleman husband. It's an empathetic phrase and who wouldn't love hearing that when you're going through something awful. It could also be a phrase you use to lessen the blow of a criticism, but hopefully that's not a card you'd like to make often...haha.

I wanted to make a girly card and used My Mind's Eye papers. Some stitching, a lovely rose and vintage seam binding add to the feminine flair.

TCM Previews: Vintage Rides

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's previews featuring one of my new sets, Vintage Rides. This is a re-release from my Angel Company designs with a few new additions.

For my card, I used some old October Afternoon Seaside papers as a background. I colored the scooter with Copics. The frame was die cut and embossed with Spellbinders Classic Rectangle dies. The border is also by Spellbinders.

If you think you've seen this card before, it's because you have if you come to my blog regularly. :) Since my TCM stamps are still missing in action (after over a month in transit), I am sharing with you an old card that I shared last year. I will share new projects as soon as my stamps arrive!
