I have something simply and shabby for you today that uses Want2Scrap Nestabling, but I used it without a Spellbinder die cut, just to see. :) It took less than 10 minutes to make! The sentiment is by Layers of Color, papers by Melissa Frances.
I'm entering this to the CAS-ual Fridays challenge, which is to create a card based on a movie. What a fun challenge! This sentiment was made famous by Barbara Streisand in her movie, Funny Girl. The sketch was inspired by this week's Card Patterns (flipped upside down), my old stomping grounds :). And the colors are inspired by The Play Date Cafe. It feels so good to play with challenges again.

Here's the Nestabling pearls up close. Don't you just love it!
My next card is one I shared last week over on the SRM blog. It uses their Fancy Stickers Baby on a card that could be for graduation, new baby or job promo...there are so many occasions when the sentiment is perfect.
So romantic! Dreamy!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards, Nina! So soft and feminine! Stay warm - brrrr!
ReplyDeleteLovely card creations, Nina! And we got 8 inches of snow on Saturday - bbrr indeed!!!
ReplyDeleteWe just got home from Colorado (see my blog for exciting news!), where there was lots of snow, cold, and wind! It's good to be home :) I'll be thinking of you, and hoping you stay warm. Wow, Nina, what gorgeous cards! Thank you for sharing - have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteNina, these cards are both so pretty. You have such talent! I like how you kept the first card simple, letting the paper do much of the work.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are able to join us at The Play Date Cafe, and that you are having fun with challenges again. :)
Beautiful cards. TFS.
ReplyDeleteNow that is some serious eye candy :) I'm so glad you had some fun with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
ReplyDeleteHello gorgeous!! ( I can say that every time I come to your blog!!)! Love your use of sentiment from the movie--just beautiful in every way! Thanks so much for joining the fun with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
ReplyDeleteHi Nina - love both the cards, but the top one is just fabulous!! Love visiting your blog with all the beautiful creations.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Maxine
Love the soft elegance of both cards! Quite lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis card is delightful! The bling is so perfect and sets off the card like nothing else can. I like the way you think....turn the paper upside down to get the look of curtains in a theater...ingenious.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! Really elegant!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are simply beautiful! Thanks for playing along with us at The Play Date Cafe!
