Crafty Friends Challenge #11

It's my turn to host the Crafty Friends Challenge and I have a photo color inspiration for you to today. I took this photo last summer in my in-laws' yard. I love the vibrant hues of that gorgeous butterfly.
The colors are perfect for the season of fall and the upcoming holidays, but the image can also inspire non-holiday projects, so there’s something here for everyone! Here is my card using Penny Black's Lace Delight stamp set as my background.

The butterfly is a die cut by Spellbinders that is anchored by a pretty paper flower.

NinaB Designs November Blog Hop

Welcome to the monthly NinaB Designs team blog hop. NinaB Designs is a product designer for a few paper crafting companies, including Spellbinders, Want2ScrapPenny Black, and The Craft's Meow. For this month's hop, I challenged the team to create something with Winter and Holidays in mind.

The holidays provide many opportunities for paper crafters to give an extra personal touch to every occasion.  Whether you are doing place cards for a dinner, tags for gift giving or even just hand made projects using your supplies on hand, it is a blessed season indeed!

I used a lot of scrap papers for my projects today. That is one advantage of using dies.:) My first card uses my Sweet Folk Art dies with Simple Stories and My Mind's Eye papers.
Angel
I used felt for the hair/halo and the heart.Using my white pen, I connected the holes on the wings to make them look stitched. All the dies in this set have the holes for a quilted/stitched look. The sentiment is TCM's Season's Greetings.

My second card is a winter scene using my Home Sweet Home and Sweet Folk Art dies (heart banner). Again these were die cut using My Mind's Eye scraps. I hand cut the snow drift.
All-is-Calm
The background snowflake is Madison Paper pack by Penny Black. The sentimet is from All is Bright stamp set, also by Penny Black.

This will help with organization and avoiding confusion. Thanks for understanding!
Winners will be picked randomly from 2 of the designers' blogs:

Joy Ornament

I have another project highlighting Want2Scrap's Nestabling and Nestaboard products that both coordinate with Spellbinders dies. I have a fancy ornament today that was not at all hard to make, thanks to coordinating Want2Scrap and Spellbinders products.

I started with Want2Scrap's Labels 24 Nestaboard, which I covered with Authentique's Festive papers (die cut with Spellbinders' Labels 24 dies). I then embellished it with Labels 24 Nestabling Pearls on top of that. I layered a smaller Nestaboard with patterned paper and Nestabling on top of that.
W2S-ornament
The "Joy" sentiment is from Chipboard Sentiments- Words of Love. I covered it with wet glue, then sprinkled some Art Glitter on it. I finished the card using ribbon and paper flowers.

How about you? Do you hand make Christmas ornaments, too? It has become a tradition in our family now and my girls love making them with me. They make great gifts as well. Have a great day and don't forget to come back tomorrow for the monthly NinaB Designs blog hop!

TCM Holiday Card Blog Hop

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's Holiday Card Blog Hop. Today, the team is showcasing the many holiday-themed stamps that TCM offers through their online store. If you came from Lindsay's blog, then you're at the right spot. If not, you can check the list of participants on the TCM blog so you don't miss a thing :).

I have two cards for you. My first is classic vintage using my Christmas Angel stamp set. I've been inspired lately by a few shabby chic crafters and created this. The papers are Melissa Frances. I colored the angel with Copic markers and framed it using Spellbinders dies. The sentiment is from Vintage Ornaments, which I framed with Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags Two. I sprinkled some Want2Scrap LeCreme pearls to add to the vintage feel of the card. I distressed all the edges and inked them.

My second card is more on the Clean and Graphic style using the Holiday Foundations set. The stockings were die cut using my Spellbinders' Sweet Folk Art dies. I used leftover scraps from my mass-produced Christmas card project a from few posts ago. I embellished the stocking with lace.

Your next stop is my friend Sharri, don't forget to stop by the  TCM blog for more info on prizes and more inspiration! Happy hopping!

Using up my stash

Here are some cards my girls and I made a few weeks ago to use up my stash. This first one was made by my daughter all by herself. I am pretty impressed. This looks so much better than the first cards I made. The papers are old October Afternoon. I can't remember what they're called. The sentiment is by Stampin' Up.
WCMD Card Gaby
These two are made by me and use the same October Afternoon papers and SRM Stickers sentiments.

I found this little dragonfly embellishment in my stash and I don't know where I got it from, but it seems perfect here :).

Have a great Wednesday!
