First is a clean and simple card using the pear image from Pocket Full of KOTM and the sentiment from Following my Heart KOTM. I used SU's Ruby Red and Summer Sun and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The ribbon is by Stampin' Up also. I followed the Pink Elephant's color combo challenge this week.
This next one uses the cute bird on a branch from A Pocket Full KOTM also and the sentiment is from Birthday Messages set by Hero Arts. The bird was colored with Copics and layered three times (tole technique). The colors I used are Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red and GinaK Soft Sand papers (a cross between Kraft and Sahara Sand, I love it), which almost follows the Color Throwdown challenge this week :-). The bird is colored with Copics (E55, YG18, R39) the old fashioned way, no shading!

ReplyDeleteLove your story about 9-11, too. I was living in Boston at the time and the guy I was seeing called me out of the blue yelling on the phone if I was "OK". Roomie and I didn't know at the time what had happened. The city was on lockdown for an entire week. It was so scary but it really gave you a sense of closeness with people at how everyone pulled together to help others.
