Intro to my Dream Team: Beatriz and Beate

I have been enjoying spring break with my family and the weather is just perfect!

I have two more team members to introduce to you today. They are amazing paper crafters and are widely known in this industry. I am so honored to have these two join me in this little venture of mine. I have loved their work from the very first time I saw them and followed them since. I never thought I'd have the privilege to work with them so closely.

Beate Johns - I am also thrilled to work with her in her new craft blog, Crafty Friends Challenge. Not only is she a great paper crafter, but she is also one of the sweetest people I've ever "met" online. And her sweetness is beautifully reflected on her projects.

Beate is born and raised in Germany. After marrying Rick, who is in the Air Force, She moved to the States. Since then theu have been living in Upstate New York, Virginia, back in Germany, Illinois, Texas, Florida, Ohio and now Oklahoma. The Johns family includes three wonderful kids that are growing up way to fast.  Beate have been stamping since 2002 and working on Splitcoaststampers since 2003. Besides being the Creative Director of SCS, she is currently a Spellblogger for the Spellbinders blog, part of  Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge Team and a Guest Designer for Whimsy Stamps.

And check out this lovely card by Beate. I love her attention to detail and carefully placed elements. And you need to check out her blog for more eye candy (did I mention she's got some crazy-good Copic skillz?) :)

Beatriz Jennings - whose work first inspired me to try the shabby vintage style. I haven't stopped since then. Her projects are carefully crafted, evoke nostalgia and a certain coziness. She also has an etsy store, where you can purchase vintage-inspired digital downloads to put on your shabby projects.

I fell in love with scrapbooking when I was looking through a magazine and saw all of the beautiful things that you can do with paper. Right now I'm in love with card making, mini albums, digital images and altered art. I have been scrapbooking for 6 years and I love to use ribbon, buttons, and flowers on most of my creations. I don't know how to describe my style, but some people say that is a little bit romantic, feminine, and even shabby Chic. Some of my work has been published in magazines like Handmade (formerly Paper Trends), Scrapbook Trends, Cards, Paper Crafts, Scrapbook and Cards Today and Cardmaker magazine to list a few. I have also had projects published in idea books and had tutorials and projects published online on scrapbooking/papercrafting sites and some e zines.

Check out this gorgeous ensemble she created. If you haven't yet, you definitely have to check out the post to see these up close. It's so worth your time.
I will be back with new projects soon. I hope you all have a great weekend, celebrating Easter. I have an Easter/Resurrection Sunday card posted HERE, where I shared why this weekend is special to me.
