One drawback about this fave color combo is my SU Basic Black pad is not that great, so I redo my stamping quite often because of smears and uneven tones. I've been very disappointed with it. I can't wait to get my hands on Memento Tuxedo Black. I have heard so many great things about it and how much better it is than SU's. I just ordered mine from GinaK, but it's waiting for me in CA :-(. I didn't want it to be sent here since we will be back in the states in about a month. In fact, I have lots of GinaK goodies waiting there, including the amazing Pure Luxury Cardstock, which now comes in Chocolate Kiss.
I used Garden Delight from Inkadinkadoo for the silhouette flowers for both cards. I just {heart} them, esp because I paid less than $6 for the set at Joanns. I don't know if you've also noticed how I love my SU slit punch. I wish they'd make a large scallop border punch like this.
For Card #1, the other color is PTI's Aqua Mist.

For Card #2, the other color is SU's Cameo Coral. I made this for a friend who wanted personalized note cards. The name label was printed on the computer and punched. The button is PTI's Melon Berry and it matches the paper very well.
I really like both cards very much....very simple but elegant...

In a word Beautiful! I love them both and I agree with you. I wish Stampin' Up would make the bigger scallop punch. I have a few suggestions from you that I'm going to pass along!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors you chose for both of the cards. They are quite stunning!
